The website TED.com is a website that shows issues in the world and also how to improve the world. Some famous people on the site giving speeches are people such as, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Al Gore. They have marvelous speeches and songs given by these people. Every year there are three prizes for the best speeches and those people get $100,000, which they need to use it for the world. For example, Bill Clinton’s wish when he won the TED prize was to build a health care system in Rwanda. It is a great source for education and for expanding our knowledge.

On December 18th 2008 Col. Theoneste Bagosora of Rwanda was sentenced to life in Prison for the genocide of Rwanda. The genocide started when the plane of the president Juvenal Habyarimana was shot down. The genocide was by the Hutu people assassinating 800,000 Tutsi people. The colonel was a leader of Hutu extremists and was also the leader of the Rwanda’s Defense Ministry at the start of the genocide. It is thought that he is guilty and might have been the one who started the genocide.

Pluto is a planet which was taken out from the solar system. It used to be the farthest planet from the sun. I think Pluto feels really depressed by the decision that the scientists made but it has been proved so it is something that nobody can change. I am hoping there will be another planet inside the solar system. In my opinion, I think it is possible because the gravity from the planets might pull another planet close to them. However, it will take a very long time to get another planet getting inside the solar system. Although it is almost impossible to see it during my life time, I want to prove it.

Seven places were attacked by the terrorists in Mumbai, India. The attacked places were two hotels, the main rail station and a Jewish centre. It is said that the attack was by some people from Pakistan but the people are not sure. The foreign minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he is willing to fight terrorism with India. The people who were able to escape said that the terrorists were targeting those with U.S. and U.K. passports. The British prime minister, Gordon Brown said that he will do anything to protect the British citizens and has sent UK police and security services to aid the situation in India. Also, the forty fourth president elect of the U.S., Barack Obama said that the nations must work with others, and together people should demolish the terrorist networks. In my opinion people should work to aid the people who are suffering with fear, injury, and depression by losing somebody important.

Today I had a P.E. lesson at the Yoyogi park. We had a half-court basketball match which was pretty interesting. But many people don’t mark there people which they are supposed to. That is a problem of what our school needs to work on…. After the half-court match In we played a game named knock out. It was very tiring but I won one of the games. I hope we will have another opportunity to play basketball again.

At the web 2.0 summit in San Francisco, Al Gore said that we need to move on to stop Global warming. He said he has failed in term of the movie “An Inconvenient Truth”. He even says that even if there is a great awareness there aren’t any urgency. He said that this is an existential threat. He even said to the 44th president Barack Obama to set a national goal of making the electricity renewable. Obama has planed to spend $150 billion to clean energy for the ten years. Al Gore says that forty percent of CO^2 is released from buildings but many people don’t know. From these reasons people should at least try to decrease the amount of CO^2.

Hello. I have watched the video of “the rain in the dry land”. I saw that people moved because of the civil war in Somalia. The civil war started from 1991 and some families have been living in the refugee camp for thirteen years. On the video, the people who were exiled from Somalia to Kenya were talking about why they came to Kenya and how they were treated in the camp. The people said they are treated like slaves and they can’t have education. What was interesting about the video was that they showed what America looked like and the people in the camp were amazed with our kind of society. From this they are trying to go to America. If you have any information about Bantu or the civil war in Somalia please comment me.

Today I had a P.E. class which made my socks and shoes seriously wet. It also made me tiered. I don’t want to walk home. I think I’ll die while I’m walking. Well it was fun so it’s fine. Today I won once and I lost once. I hope I can win both games next time.
